Tucked away in the heart of the city, Sen-Ryo at Suntec City, Singapore, offers a well-balanced mix of traditional Japanese comfort food with modern flair. With its sleek yet cozy setting, it's the kind of spot that feels welcoming whether you're out for a casual dinner or something a little more special.

We dropped by for dinner and walked away more than satisfied.

Softshell Crab and Mango Nama Haru Maki – $16.80

Our Favorite Dish Crispy softshell crab, fresh greens, and sweet mango slices all wrapped up beautifully. What tied it all together was the lightly sweetened mango sauce, it balanced the savory flavors and gave the whole dish a refreshing lift. We’d return just for this one.

Sen-Ryo Tamagoyaki with Mentaiko Sauce – $2.80

A simple but comforting bite. The fluffy, slightly sweet tamagoyaki worked well with the creamy, savory mentaiko sauce. At under $3, it’s a great little appetizer to kick off your meal.

Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Onion – $26.80

Satisfying, but nothing groundbreaking. The beef was tender but overall, it felt a bit underwhelming. That said, it hit the spot since we were craving beef.

Sen-Ryo Supreme Sushi Platter – $33

A generous 10-piece platter offering a nice variety of sashimi and aburi sushi. Fresh, beautifully plated, and a solid pick if you want to sample multiple flavors in one go. Definitely one of the better value items on the menu.

Braised Hamachi Kama in Shoyu – $19.80

Perfectly cooked yellowtail collar moist and tender with rich flavor. The only downside was the shoyu sauce, which was a little too overpowering. Still a solid dish, and we’re curious to try the other preparation next time.

Maguro Sashimi Trio Don – $32

This dish was a delightful surprise. The freshness of the maguro was exceptional, especially at this price point. A trio of maguro cuts made every bite interesting and flavorful. Sen-Ryo clearly knows how to handle their tuna, and with so many other maguro dishes on the menu, we’re definitely coming back for more. Address: 3 Temasek Boulevard #01-434 Tower 5 (S038983)
